The 2025 Toyota LandCruiser 300 Series will become one of the last models from the brand to receive the latest infotainment system. The updated model is expected to go on sale by the middle of next year.
This is the first update for the LandCruiser 300 Series since its launch three years ago, and it is set to be released in the second quarter of 2025 (from April to June). It will include new technologies in the cabin, an expanded list of safety features, and additional equipment to enhance comfort.
No design changes have been reported, so the 2025 model is positioned as a current technical update rather than an interim step in refreshing the large all-wheel-drive vehicle.
The latest infotainment system from Toyota has been added, operating on an 8.0-inch screen in the GX and GXL models (down from a previous 9.0-inch display), while in other models it has been upgraded to a 12.3-inch screen.
Wireless support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (previously wired) is now available across the entire range.
Connected satellite navigation is also standard for the entire range, as well as new features from Toyota Connected Services and the myToyota app for smartphones, including remote access to climate control, vehicle and trip information, and "additional notifications."
In the GX and GXL variants, the 4.2-inch display has been replaced with a 7.0-inch one, while in more expensive configurations, a widescreen 12.3-inch display has replaced the 7-inch instrument display.
Lane-keeping assist and emergency steering assist systems are now standard across the entire range, rather than being exclusive to VX trim levels and above, with all models equipped with an emergency stop system.
The blind-spot monitoring system, available only in GXL models and above, now features safe exit assistance that warns of approaching vehicles or cyclists before doors are opened, and GXL also adds a low-speed rear autonomous emergency braking function.
Most models in the range also receive equipment from more expensive options.
New features for the GX, besides the infotainment system and active safety, include electric steering column adjustment, LED front cabin lighting, and camera guide lines for the rearview camera.
The GXL model received a suede-like fabric upholstery, electric seat adjustment for the driver in eight directions with lumbar support (instead of manual adjustment), four-zone climate control (instead of two-zone), a refrigerated compartment in the center console, and 40:20:40 split-folding second-row seats.
In the VX trim, an electrically adjustable front passenger seat in eight directions, an electric rear door, and an HDMI port to replace the CD/DVD player have been added.
The GR Sport configuration has added a light for illuminating the area around the door on the inside of the tailgate, while in Sahara and Sahara ZX models it remains unchanged.
At the heart of the 300 Series lineup remains a 3.3-liter V6 diesel engine with twin turbochargers, producing 227 kW/700 Nm, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission, full-time all-wheel drive, and a locking center differential.
